Step Into My Shoes..

A rather heavy heart weighs me down today. When will I lift me up, tomorrow, next week, next month, never, who can say. Painfully alone in the middle of a crowd. Do I want to keep mum or do I want to scream my head out. Should I burn myself out and rise like a phoenix, or should I stay numb and watch the clock as it ticks. I always knew that life could be crazy funny, but I never really guessed that the joke could've been on me. Heartbreak can really make a nobody into a poet. Look at all the insane lines I wrote.

The thing about making a mistake in life and learning a thing or two from it is that unless you are the one who made the mistake, learning from it becomes harder than you think. You see other people make mistakes, hear about them falling in follies, read about them, and you vow not to make those yourself. But you never really learn that way. Your mind stores the knowledge at the back of it and yet ends up doing the same mistakes. Granted, some mistakes cost us more than we can afford but in life mistakes are the building blocks that makes us who we are. Never be afraid of mistakes; or better yet, take risks and make mistakes. Remember to learn and move on. They can only make you into a better person.
