The Rain-Effect
Outside, it’s
raining with such furore you would wonder why the Heaven is so eager in
cascading so much water down on Earth. And the intensity of this rain is such
that you feel as if there is a curtain around the house and you are a prisoner
not meant to lift that curtain and leave your haven. Sometimes I wonder where
so much water goes. Of course I know that the Earth sucks it all up and uses it
for noble causes (and sometimes, not so noble causes, namely landslides, flood
et al.) But really, when you look at the sky, it’s just vacant except for some
clouds, and sometimes even clouds aren't there, and yet (by some miracle; which
you will call a natural phenomenon with reasonable scientific explanation)
water pours down as if by magic. Just like that. Out of thin air. If I’m not
too occupied to be fazed by the problem rain creates while I’m about to go out
or while I am out, I could look at it
and be amazed till it actually stops. I would like to call it the rain-effect. Nothing to be gained by
this but at some point in our lives, we just seem to pause and think about
stuffs we don’t when we are busy being part of the rut. This is just one of
those things.
